- The Port of Thunder Bay has eight grain terminals with a total storage capacity of 1.2 million tonnes.
- Wheat, durum, coarse grains, oilseeds, feed grains, peas and other pulse crops as well as various grain by-products are handled annually by the terminal operators.
- Loading rates at the terminals range from 1,000 to 3,400 tonnes/hour.
| | | The terminals and operating companies are: - Mission Terminal Inc. handling agent of CWB, licensed and bonded with CGC, capacity to receive grain by truck, storage capacity of 130,000 tonnes, space available for non-board grains.
- Viterra Inc. operates three terminals at two sites with a total capacity of 594,000 tonnes. Viterra A and B are located at the Pool 7 complex with a capacity of 362,600 tonnes. Viterra C is located at a different site and has a capacity of 231,000 tonnes . These facilities offer a variety of specializations and offer services for all grains.
